CAREs 1st consignment of PCs are shipped to Ghana PDF Print E-mail

CARE Computers For Developing Countries has just shipped its 1st consignment of 500 PC's (40ft container) to Ghana for reuse in Ghanan schools.

Attendancees were,

Our 2nd shipment of another 40ft container is scheduled to leave BOC Edwards Head Office in Crawley on Monday 29th January 2007.

In response to those who have expressed concerns regarding CARE dumping PC's in Ghana when they become irrepairable, we would like to assure you that CARE has adopted a policy of laison with Ghana Environmental Protection Agency.

BOC Edwards Chief Executive, has also nominated a BOC gases repesentative in Ghana to oversee CARE's activities in Ghana to ensure that all irrepairable pc's are recycled through a sound environmental route.

CARE maintains its own PC iternary records checklist of all PC's leaving the UK. Once they arrive in Ghana we have our own logo/stamp bearing CARE C4DC to keep track records on all our PC equipment.
